Ensuring all are welcome
What We Do
City Workers Share Their Stories for Immigrant Heritage Month
For Immigrant Heritage Month, we asked immigrants who now work for the City to share their experience in Philadelphia. Here's what they had to say.
Meet the Office of Immigrant Affairs
Philadelphia is a city of neighborhoods. These neighborhoods are populated both by residents who have lived there their entire lives and by new neighbors — some of whom are new to America. The Office of Immigrant Affairs seeks to continue Philadelphia's historic tradition of welcoming people from many walks of life.
Immigrant Heritage Month 2016
This June, Philadelphia celebrates Immigrant Heritage Month. All month long, Philadelphians can join the Office of Immigrant Affairs to celebrate with food, cinema, and citizenship to encourage every American to tell the story of how they first felt welcomed to the American experience.
An estimated 64,405 Lawful Permanent Residents in Philadelphia are eligible to become citizens, but don't have the resources to apply. Find out how to become a U.S. Citizen.
