The Mayor will officially sign the CVN Bill into law, which diverts those charged with public conduct offenses out of the criminal justice system; furthering the goals set by the City and its criminal justice partners agencies as a part of the MacArthur Safety and Justice Challenge Grant.

The Mayor will join Councilman Curtis Jones, Jr., Councilwoman Cherrelle Parker, Councilwoman Blondell Reynolds Brown, Council President Darrell Clarke and other members of Philadelphia’s Muslim Community at this traditional communal meal that breaks the Ramadan fast each day at sunset.
