Philadelphia Parks & Recreation Announces New Wheel Fun Rentals Location in FDR Park

Philadelphia – Philadelphia residents and visitors can now experience twice the fun in South Philly’s Franklin Delano Roosevelt Park! Officials with Philadelphia Parks & Recreation and Wheel Fun Rentals announced the opening of a new location in FDR Park, conveniently located at the boathouse just yards from the lake.

Wheel Fun Rentals at FDR Park offers a full array of specialty cycles, bicycles, and boats for any age and ability. Try the modern day carriage: Wheel Fun Rental’s signature Surrey. This stately cycle can seat up to six people on the benches, and has room for two small children (or pets) in the front basket. Those opting for water bound adventures can hop aboard sturdy pedal boats or kayaks and explore the beautiful park lake. Kayakers should come prepared to get a little wet from the drip of the paddle and splash of the water.

Surrey prices start at $25.00 per hour, specialty cycles start at $12.00 per hour, and cruiser bike rental prices are $10.00 per hour. Pedal boats start at $20 an hour and kayaks start at $15 an hour. For those that are feeling a bit more adventurous, half-day and full-day rental options are also available.
